Ingredients:
– 1 cup Komal Saul (available in Assam or online)– 1/2–1 cup milk (or curd for savory version)
– 1–2 tsp sugar or jaggery (optional for sweet version)
– Pinch of salt (if using curd)
– Optional toppings: banana slices, grated coconut
Instructions:
1. Rinse Komal Saul rice gently. No need to cook – it softens with liquid due to its special parboiling method.
2. For sweet version: Add cold milk, sugar or jaggery, and banana slices.
3. For savory version: Add curd, pinch of salt, and mix well.
4. Serve chilled as a traditional breakfast.
